Courses for Owners

Grow Your Capabilities.  Grow Your Business.

Chris BroganThe basic offering we provide to you here at Owner are non-credit courses written by actual experienced practitioners and designed to help you learn what you need to do the work you want to do. We sell directly to professionals like you, though we’ve also sold through people’s HR training departments, too. The way we’ve built out the courses, you can do this work while you’re doing your job, going to school, or otherwise engaged. There’s meat to these products, but we realize you have a life, so we’re not out to drown you.

In most cases, you’ll see that the courses are delivered weekly by email, with lessons, ideas, additional materials, and encouragement to join the private group that supports your particular course. If the course is a one-shot experience, it ties in somehow to another longer course, so sometimes, you can taste before you dine, if that appeals. And in all cases, we stand behind our products and offer a guarantee of your personal satisfaction. Because everything was written by someone who cares about giving more value than we extract, you can imagine we work hard to over-deliver on what we sell you.

The Two Main Tracks at Owner at Present

More courses in each track will be coming soon.

Depending on what you hope to accomplish, we are probably working on something to help. If you don’t see a course here that you want to pursue, you can always get in touch with us and make a recommendation or ask for a suggested course. We’ll gladly do what we can to accommodate your interests.

Digital Business:

Digital Business Mastery

What would you be able to accomplish if you felt like your website was set up to better accept business opportunities? How would you work better knowing you’re using the right software and are spending your time in the right places? What would a solidly built digital presence mean to your prospecting and business opportunities? What if you had some guidance in how to construct offerings that resonated with your potential buyers? Would building out content marketing to help promote your work be of use to you? And how will you keep this all running?

Digital Business Mastery is for you.

Love Letters: Email Marketing with a Soul

loveletters250

Email marketing is far and away the #1 source of business for me. Far and away. I’ve got 279,000 Twitter followers and they don’t make me a dime. Over 200,000 people come to my primary website, chrisbrogan.com, every month. I don’t make money from them, either. People might find me in those places, but all my significant business comes via email marketing.

I put together a six week course on email marketing with Rob Hatch, president of Owner Media Group and also an expert in the ins and outs of how to do all kinds of clever things with InfusionSoft, which happens to be the email service provider we use. The two of us will give you our hard-earned ideas and advice.

Blogging: The Master Class

BlogTopicsMC340

You’re getting serious about your blogging. Maybe you’ve come to realize that you need a stronger presence on the web. Maybe you’re hoping to use blogging as part of your content marketing plan. You want to learn how to write better, be more effective with your goals, and you want to grow your audience. If you like learning effective methods for creating valuable content from a professional blogger (since 1998) and a New York Times bestselling author to boot, this might be the course you’ve been waiting for!

Ownership and Personal Development:

Work Like You’re On Vacation

WYLOV340

“Have you ever wanted to have more time to work on what matters most to you, to start a business, fulfill a goal, pursue a passion?”

That’s how Rob Hatch begins his pitch to you about Work Like You’re On Vacation. It’s a course to help you work on getting more done. Rob explains it a bit differently than me, but what I have done with this is I’ve learned how to be more productive while reclaiming more time from my day for my own projects. Owner Mastery Foundation Group

You are an owner now or you intend to take more ownership of your life, your choices, and your business. But getting the right motivation, keeping focus, and finding the best resources has been a challenge. You feel like you’re reading everything that comes along, but still haven’t really experienced a foundational experience that will help you put this all together. Sound like you?  Receive daily brief email messages from Chris Brogan giving you thoughts about your life, your business, and the choices it takes to be a good owner. Almost always with an action step to take.

The Owner’s Path

op250

The Owner’s Path is a ten week course created and shared by Chris Brogan. In it, you’ll find stories, information, advice, and homework assignments to help you work through the material and accomplish the success criteria of the course.

The concept is reasonably simple: work on a structure that fits your intentions and your choices, and you will find better results than you’re currently experiencing. To this end, I intend to work with you by describing a path and several frameworks to help you accomplish your goals (including the setting of goals and the pursuit of suitable missions for your efforts).

The core concepts of the path are as follows. They center around these eight primary elements and their ability to drive success:

Clarity – commit to clarity and integrity.
Discipline – practice a daily regimen.
Resourcefulness – learn how to find your own solutions, and allies.
Mastery of Your Game – take what you know and own it.
Confidence – permission to excel is vital.
Communication – it’s not just what you say, but how it opens paths.
Community – the key that most people miss or misuse.
Mission Driven Execution – wrapping all our efforts into a daily experience towards larger goals and missions.
